Medical Screening Services

The medical screening service is designed to ensure that you have the ultimate protection. The insurer's medical underwriting division provides full medical screening facilities using customised software.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition, if there are any changes in your health or prescribed medication or there is the onset of new condition prior to travelling, you are required to phone the helpline on 0161 439 0333 to arrange cover for the condition(s).

Failure to declare all pre-existing medical conditions that are relevant to the insurance may invalidate the policy.

Emergency Medical Service

It can be a daunting experience if you or a family member is taken ill overseas; you simply need to contact the Medical Assistance service. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They provide a continuous and uninterrupted, around the clock emergency service, dedicated to providing guidance and assistance for travellers in need of medical attention, with access to their in-house medical team.

Their highly trained, multi-lingual team operate in rotational shifts, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year to provide reassurance and assistance whenever and wherever it is needed.

They deal with all cases in line with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and will always be guided by industry best practice in every situation.

The Emergency Medical Service has international offices strategically located close to major travel destinations, providing localised knowledge and medical expertise.

The international network regularly visit and review medical facilities worldwide. Each medical facility is assessed on hygiene, facilities, expertise, and quality of service; this is rated against a high standard that the Emergency Medical Service set. The aim is to ensure that you are looked after with the highest level of care.
